Adam recently acted for a man who was cycling along a service road in South Manchester when he suddenly came upon some road works round a slight bend and he was unable to stop before road works resulting in him fracturing his shoulder when he fell to the ground. The claim was initially made against 2 residences which had asked independent contractors to do some work at their properties but enquiries revealed that the builder was an independent contractor and the fault lay with him. Proceedings were then commenced against him and in the absence of a response, judgement was entered into and the court assessed the value of the claim in excess of £10,000.
